Co-op Annual Events

JAN-MARCH: Codman Square Winter Farmers Market

Established by the Dorchester Food Co-op in 2012, the Winter Market is now run by the Codman Square Health Center and Neighborhood Council. The Winter Market takes place on Saturdays from 10-1  at the Great Hall in Codman Square. (6 Norfolk St.) Get fresh produce and local products all season long! The Dorchester Food Co-op is selling Equal Exchange coffee, chocolate, cocoa, tea and olive oil, along with Co-op T-shirts and shopping bags.

SPRING: Co-op Annual Meeting

Each year the co-op hosts an exciting panel of speakers at their annual meeting. In 2016 the panel featured Senator Linda Dorcena-Forry and local food justice advocates. Board elections are also held at the annual meeting. This is a great event for meeting other members and engaging in the conversation! The annual meeting is open to the public.

OCTOBER: National Co-ops’ Month

Our Annual Green New Deal Dance Party co-hosted with The Trustees starts off our October Co-op Month of fun, and the past two years we’ve held our Annual Pumpkin Party.

YEAR ROUND: Member Engagement: Building the Co-op Community

The co-op holds monthly membership activities, from "Meet & Greet" events at neighborhood restaurants, popular education activities, marching in the annual Dorchester Day Parade, Summer Farmers Markets in Dorchester, JP, Roslindale, Roxbury and Mattapan, and PopUP's offering local produce to area residents during the year.  We are building our co-op community before we have the store. Have an idea? Let us know about it.
